Prescription medicine help is available to millions of Americans. You have probably heard or seen ads or commercials that residents might receive their prescriptions for free, or at a low cost. Have you seen the Help For Prescription bus? TV personality Montel Williams talks about an outfit who helps individuals find help if they can not manage to pay for the prescription medication they are prescribed. These prescriptions help them with their illness. There is even an orange bus which crosses the nation to advocate free prescription medication programs. If cost saving actions are not enough to help meet the price of prescription medication, there are a quantity of programs intended to help the consumer stretch your healthcare dollar. Hospitals, medical schools, government agencies, and maybe pharmaceutical companies themselves provide a variety of strategies to help those in need of help. You’ll possible have some help applying for these plans, and could have to provide specific personal financial details, however the payback might be enormous.

If you are without health insurance or your program does not cover your prescription medication, receiving the prescriptions you need may be costly. For prostate cancer patients, this is more than ever true.

For patients that are undergoing chemotherapy treatment, the need for anti-nausea prescription medication is pretty high because of the upset belly that the chemo causes. Chemo will regularly cause you to become anemic so an iron supplement is frequently given. This list can go on and on. The bottom line is that the prescriptions costs for a cancer patient paying out of pocket could go over a mortgage payment!

What to do if you need assistance with your prescription medicine.

The most awful thing a person might do is to stop taking their prescription drugs. There are a lot of programs available which provide free and reduced cost prescription assistance.

• Hospital Social Worker- All hospitals have a social worker which will help you locate grants and other programs aimed at assisting you with your health care requirements. This should be your opening stop in looking for aid. Always notify your medical doctor if you cannot pay for medicine or care. He or she may perhaps know of a program personally to help you, also.

• PPARx- The Partnership for Patient Assistance is a company aimed at serving residents that can not pay for their prescriptions. They have produced a database of more than 750  programs and over 5000 prescription drugs available for reduced or no cost aid. They lend a hand in determining what you are entitled for and applying for the assistance. The service is free and obtainable online.

• Drug Companies- A large number of individuals would not assume prescription drug companies offer help, although a lot might. Gsk offers a prescription medication program for patients taking their prescription drugs and cannot manage to pay for them. Locate the manufacturer of your drugs by asking your doctor of medicine or pharmacist and check their web site for patient assistance programs.

You aren’t the only one with this quandary. There is no grounds to be uncomfortable.

What do you think of the current standard of the football referees in the English Premiership? Do you think a system of video replays should be introduced to help these referees and to stop what are some important mistakes being made? These two questions are things which myself and my friends debate on a regular basis, especially after a few beers.

Do not get me wrong; I am fully aware that I have never been involved in professional football in any shape or form; I am actually involved in various projects to do with stuttering treatmentcheap calls and about training for foster carers.

There was a match a number of seasons ago which sticks in my memory, a bad memory at that. It was a very important match between my favourite team Birmingham City and one of their local rivals Stoke City. It was an important match because Birmingham really needed to win the game as they were in danger of being relegated in that particular season. The three points for the win would certainly have helped them in their quest to survive.

With only around ten minutes of the match remaining Birmingham were leading a tense match by one goal to nil. Then one of the Stoke players barged the Birmingham keeper, who had the ball in his hands, over. The ball slipped from his grasp and one of the other Stoke players kicked it into an unguarded net.

I could not understand as to how the referee had not seen what was a certain foul, maybe he was partially blind. I could not believe it and nor could any of the other Blues supporters, when the referee let the goal stand. I am normally quite a calm person but became so angry it was untrue. The next thing that happened was one of the Birmingham fans ran onto the pitch and fully punched this referee in the face. The players were taken off the pitch while order was restored.

I remember thinking at the time that this referee had deserved to be hit, but I later changed my mind, once I had had time to calm down. We are all capable of making a mistake of course.

I personally think that the overall standard of referees in the Premiership is very good and that we should start to get off these peoples back. I would however like each referee to be interviewed after each match in the same way as the football managers are. By doing this they could explain to the supporters why they made certain decisions during the match.

Crimson Tide Players and the 2010 Draft

SIAP, Mel Kiper updated his "rankings" yesterday and also did a little blog about the NFL combine etc.

On his article about workouts and combines: He opens talking about there being a group of guys whose on the field performance speaks for themselves and they shouldn't worry about hurting their stock in the combine (and he states unless the pull an Andre Smith and leave early, haha). The four that he said are in solid standing includes Suh, Gerald McCoy, Derrick Morgan, and out very own Rolando McClain.

He goes on to state that Alabama Linebacker McClain is similar in size to Brian Urlacher and states that he thinks he has the potential to be drafted around the same position (Urlacher was the #9 overall pick when he came out). He states McClain has proven he can play sideline-to-sideline and he thinks he will run well during workouts.

On his “Big Board” and rankings I’ll just mention the Bama Players:

Top 25 overall, Rolando McClain, this years Butkus award winner is the only one that checks in, and is at #12 overall in the 2010 NFL draft.

Positional Rankings:
Alabama Seniors
Collin Peek is #4 among Senior TE's
Mike Johnson is #3 among Senior Guards
Terrence Cody #3 among Senior DT’s
Javier Arenas #3 among Senior CB's
Leigh Tiffin #4 among Senior PK's

Rolando McClain #1 among Junior ILB’s
Kareem Jackson #3 among Junior CB's

Mel Kiper doesn’t rank Sophomores, but CBSsports.com does (although I find their draft projections to be borderline horrible), they rank Ingram & Julio the #1 player at their position in their class, Barron #2 at safety, Dareus #2 at DE. Those are the only players they have ranked in the top 5 at their respective positions among our sophomore (RS FR) class. If Dontae Hightower had not been injured he would be on this list also. With top recruiting year in and year out , the Crimson Tide will be stocking the NFL with great players for years to come.

NFL Sunday Ticket and My Direct TV DVR

Fall is my favorite time of year. No not just because of the cooler temperatures and the leaves on the ground, but because it is now time for some football.

The college football season is awesome because after two months of almost nothing on TV as far as sports, suddenly you are engulfed with plenty of games every weekend. Sure I can take in a baseball game in person, but sitting and watching it on television puts a man to sleep. At least the Beijing Olympics provided some sports activity this summer.

I love both the college and the NFL games for several factors. The excitement involved in the college game is like nothing else. Each and every Saturday, thousands of screaming supporters fill up college stadiums in an effort to help the home team to victory. With the increase of network TV contracts, there are often great games on every Thursday and Saturday night as well. While I don’t really like the BCS system that is in place in the college ranks, one benefit to the setup is that every regular season game really is big. A college team may get away with one loss during the year, but if they want a shot at the title, then they can’t afford to lose twice.

The National Football League is a different beast, but just as good in my opinion. Again the passion is amazing, especially in the great NFL cities like Boston, Oakland, Chicago, and Kansas City. What makes the NFL interesting for many fans is the expansion of fantasy football. Sure some people go a little overboard, in that they use every waking moment evaluating their players and proposing ridiculous trades to the other fantasy players in the league. But if you get in with the right set of guys and gals, then fantasy football makes all of the games much more interesting.

This year I had to re-evaluate my television service, as Cox cable TV continued to disappoint me as far at their service and pricing. Luckily for me, I had a couple of choices, as AT&T U-Verse service is now in my area, as well as satellite television. After checking into my choices, I found there are great satellite television deals going on right now. So then it became the old DISH Network vs DirecTV debate Being the huge fan that I am, I just wouldn’t pass up the Sunday Ticket package that they offer. In addition, they offer great college football packages, including the Gameplan from ESPN. Overall, there is just more for your money when comparing satellite TV to Comcast. Plus, you just can’t beat the Direct TV DVR.

My spouse may not like that choice, but of course she will know where to find me, right in front of the television this fall!
