Wide Receiver Fantasy Sleepers
Picked Running backs in the first 3 rounds and ended up light in the Wide Receiver department for your fantasy team.
Here are some late round sleepers you can pick up and with a little luck round out your roster:
1. Reggie Brown, Eagles
2. Wes Welker, Patriots
3. Vincent Jackson, Chargers
4. Ronald Curry, Raiders
5. Anthony Gonzalez, Colts
Deep Sleepers
6. Eric Moulds, Titans
7. James Jones, Packers
Based on my drafts for 2007 so far Moulds and Jones are usually left on the waiver wire. Moulds is a proven commodity and Tennessee will be passing alot due to their weakness at RB and I think they will be playing catch-up in most games throughout the season. I also think that Jones will have value especially if Driver’s injury takes time to heal or recurs throughout the season.

BD, I just finished my draft and am feeling light in the shorts for wide receivers. Any waiver wire sleepers you think I might pick up?
Hey Buddy,
Here is my “sick” draft list! Not sick as in cool either. I mean down right throw-up coming out of both ends sick!

WR Calvin Johnson
WR Isaac Bruce
WR Antwaan Randle El
RB Laurence Maroney
RB Clinton Portis
TE Eric Johnson
TE Alge Crumpler
RB Tatum Bell
WR Greg Jennings
RB Julius Jones
QB Brett Favre
RB DeAngelo Williams
RB Ladell Betts
K Jason Elam
DEF San Diego
DEF Kansas City
Hey nikstr65 a couple of questions:
How many players in your league?
How many WR, RB, TE & QB do you play and what kind of flex?
Well, nikstr65, your roster does need some work but it’s not horrible. First of all, you do have some solid players (Maroney, Portis, C. Johnson, Crumpler, Favre, Elam and the SD Def). You also have some good players that just haven’t started producing but do have potential for good games (Brees, Jones & Williams. I would drop KC Def and E. Johnson (since you have Crumpler) and first look to upgrade your WR’s from the waiver wire. Secondly, I would look to package players to make trades. You could look to offer Randle El, Bruce and / or Jennings to a team that needs WR’s and maybe thorw in Bell and Williams into deals and try to upgrade at your key positions. Those are my suggestions and it’s not hopeless, just try to upgrade and play the match ups the best you can and hopefully it will work out for you.
Hey Dog,
Here is a question for you. Who would you start as a flex player for week 10. Calvin Johnson, Joe Jurevicious, Sean Mcdonald, or Greg Jones? My inclination is to go with Johnson. What are your thoughts?
Out of those 4, I would go with Johnson or McDonald. Even though the Lions are starting to run the ball more, Arizona has been solid against the run so I think the Lions will be passing this game. McDonald has been very productive but I would give the nod to Johnson based on his big play ability.
Correction, that would be James Jones.
