custom scrapbooking used to be what you would see your mother doing with last season’s pictures, gluing them into her beautifully cut scrapbook with all of her different scrapbooking supplies. Now, it is not only your parents but you can participate in it too. Scrapbooking is a wonderful thing to do with your kids and now it does not have to revolve around your family photos and events with the wonderful accessibility of cameras now. Cameras are smaller and easier to carry around, it is much easier to capture pictures of everything your doing and paste them in your scrapbook later on.

This is what captures kids and younger girls because everything they do are bright and colorful. The bright good-looking colors of already prepared scrapbooking kits make it much easier to decide whether or not to get it for your children. These can be great rainy day crafts or even cool Christmas or birthday gifts. They are not only a lot of enjoyment, but they create memories for years to come.

Scrapbooks comes with a lot of perks recently. There are literally millions of different kinds of stickers, markers, stamps, cut-outs, scissors, and other accessories to pick from. There are specific catalog companies such as Creative Memories that you can order ready to work kits from or you can go to your local craft store and buy everything that you would like to use yourself. Sometimes this is better because you can buy exactly what you need and not just an already prepared kit. There are also many different types of wallpaper patterns to choose from when you go to your local craft store, rather than ordering from a catalog.

Doing touch up work with your pictures is another fun thing to do with your scrapbook. You can purchase different styling tools that will cut and form your photo any way that you would like it. It is also a lot of fun to write with different gel and calligraphy pens to decorate your pages appropriatley. Usually people have a different page for every different event that they would like to document but you can arrange your memory scrapbook however you wish to arrange it.

Scrapbooks are meant to be fun so make it enjoyable for you and your family. Scrapbooking is a very simple hobby to take up that can take up however much time that you wish to dedicate. It should be relaxing, not frustrating, and if you are having trouble keeping it that way then just set it aside until you are prepared to work again. It is a wonderful craft for a rainy day or even when you and your kids might just be a little tired of the same things. Either way, scrapbooking is a lot of fun.
